Uphold Rolls Out Zero-Fee Transactions for XRP
Xumm, the self-custodial wallet for the XRP ledger, announced its successful partnership with Uphold to introduce a 0% transaction fee event tailored for Topper-related transactions.
The event kicked off on 30 October and will run until 31 October, within the PST time zone.
This initiative provides a two-day window of zero transaction fees for Topper on-ramps, as well as fee-free XRP on-ramping through Topper.
Miguel Vias, head of XRP markets at Ripple expressed:
"The XRP ecosystem is diversifying and growing rapidly. The listing of XRP on Uphold, a strong retail platform that offers customers easy access to digital assets, underscores the significant increase in interest for XRP."
Uphold Inc, a prominent global digital money platform, has made history by becoming the first and only platform to offer widespread access to XRP in the United States (US).
This development allows Uphold consumers to seamlessly purchase and sell XRP, which holds the distinction of being the third most valuable cryptocurrency with a market capitalisation exceeding $22 billion.
Uphold members, who already enjoy a broad spectrum of crypto and traditional currency options, can now include XRP in their diverse portfolios.
Adrian Steckel, Uphold's CEO, stated:
"There has been huge demand for XRP and Uphold is one of the first platforms to make XRP easily accessible. Uphold was first with Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold, and we are again responding to interest from our members in establishing a first with XRP."
The integration of Xumm's self-custodial wallet into the Topper ecosystem signifies a significant step towards enhancing accessibility and versatility for purchasing digital assets using debit or credit cards.
By emphasising a high conversion rate, the Xumm wallet minimises the likelihood of transaction failures, thus elevating the overall user experience.
